Terrible update

Library scrolling buggy, new full-screen design awful.

Not for Retina Display

While I am happy with its syncing capabilities, using this application on a Macbook Pro Retina requires a real effort from your eyes! It is unacceptable that they developers have not released a Retina-compatible version over the last six months.

Cordialement, ———————————— Hello, This software is apparently not compatible with OS X El Capitan. Indeed the connection windows stays empty after the first launch of the app, so the connection is not possible. Best Regards,

Crashing

Totally crashing in my Early 2012 MacBook Pro with Mountain Lion. I usually read books in my mobile (Samsungs Galaxy, btw) when in the tube or the likes and would like to be able to keep reading them while at home, but it seems my Mac will not allow me to.

Crash with Mountain Lion

It doent work with Mountain Lion but it works with Lion

Crashing on Mountain Lion

Cant login, even after a CLEAN INSTALL of my Mountain Lion… Looking forward for a stable version.

Lost my bookmarks

Can’t scroll all the way down to see all my highlights and bookmarks, at the some point near the end the list disappears and I have to start all over again. Awful app.

Doesnt work on Mavericks

It doesnt work on Mavericks. Last time it worked was on Mountain Lion.

It doesn’t work on mavericks

It doesn’t work on mavericks 10.9.4. The application crashes everytime I try to access a book. When I open the application again, it asks me to sign in again, which is annoying. Sep 10 2014.

Could be better

Unstable. Doesn’t sync personal documents only books purchased through Amazon.

Put the iOS team to work with OS X team

Lack the features: - Source code syntax highlight. The book on iOS show are colorful - Choose the highlight color.

OK, but with flaws

runs OK on yosemite/ osx 10.10. however, there are some drawbacks. tried to submit this via the integrated “give feedback” function. however, that function seems to be inoperable -at least for two days now. all in all: not satisfactory, as only one out of two books worked on the mac. *** I just bought two e-books. I then installed the Kindle app for Mac. However, only one book could be downloaded - for the other (Object-C Programming, 6th ed.), I get the message "not compatible with device". How is this possible - not compatible with device?? This is a computer. Oh, and now I cant send feedback: "please try again later". Lets see if it will work at some point. ***

cannot copy the book to my kindle

I didn’t yet find a way how to transfer a book from this app to my kindle device… and yet it is developed by Amazon...

The app lacks document support

The basic functionality of the app is in place. However, it is not possible to send any more documents to the Mac App. Only to other platforms So far I could manage all my documents in one go, independent of platform. Now, I need to do things differently for the Mac. I cannot even download the documents to the mac anymore!? This information was also strangely hidden in all descriptions. Only on some forums I was finally able to track down the confirmation. - This is not customer friendly.

Fonts look ugly

Vastly inferior to the iOS apps with respect to default fonts (which you cannot change!) and rendering of text. It’s a huge disappointment that Amazon managed to do such a subpar job of creating an app whose main purpose is to display text, especially given the very powerful text rendering engine available on OS X.

Copy

When reading a programming ebook on the Kindle I like to copy the examples and then paste them into a text file to actually see how they play out within the programming environment . Very difficult! Especially if youd like to retain the syntax. The books look good but without being able to copy and paste, useless!

Very bad reading experience on Retina display ...

Everything is pixelated, very hard to read. Update the app to support retina display and its a 4.

Half a Kindle

No subscription (newspaper, magazines) support. Too bad.

It’s ok...

I like the look of the app and when it works its fine (It keeps crashing). It would be nice to have the ablility to print some pages. I have a lot of recipe books and it’s nice to print off a recipe when wanted.

Looks bad on retina mac

Kindle looks really bad on retina macbook pro! Please fix it - my eyes get tired too quickly.
