Do yourself a favor and use Kindle cloud reader for chrome. Works a lot better than this!

I have to say that I’ve fallen in love with my Kindle and Kindle Apps. I do a lot research, and it’s great to be able to find my books AND my highlights/notes across all of my devices. But, the Kindle App for Mac needs some serious work. I routintely “deliver” my content to this app. Sometimes that content shows up, sometimes it doesn’t. It always arrives on my kindle paperwhite, and no matter how many times I get “check for new content” in the app, the little spinning arrow just turns and randomly decides when I get to read my newly purchased books. When the books actually arrive, things aren’t so bad. But, Amazon, I need you to work on consistency here. Make this product as good as your devices, please (I use those, too!)

Everything about this app sucks, it’s like a bunch of high school students’ work. I cannot even copy a word I don’t know to search it up. I don’t understand why this app on iPad is so good yet poorly designed on mac.

Horrible experience, simply not at par with its mobile couterpart. just the fact that you’re unable to see each section available for each chapter is plain and simple the most horrible user experience. very sorry this is an amazon app. Amazon can’t you pay for an OSX dev?

People buy ebooks to use as reference for writing. The fact you cannot copy and paste small selections for citations makes this app utterly useless. DO NOT USE

Nice app, but some nice functionality missing: 1. Mac os lion native full screen support 2. Lion gestures (should be "slide with 2 fingers from right to the left for the next page", in the current version it goes a lot of pages forward)

After llast update Kindle app dosnt work at all on MacBook Pro with Lion. Pls do something!

Since last update cant launch the app on MacBook Pro (OS X 10.6.8). Please fix it!

Whispersync is not working. App has not been updated for long time.

it’s October 2014 and Amazon still didn’t make the zoom in photo feature, you still have to stare at tiny pixelized pictures (even if you resize the font to some big size or resize the application window all the pictures stay the same small size). It’s really a shame keeping in mind that in iOS version you can zoom in any photo easily with a pair of fingers. Is it really hard to put such basic function in this reader to make use of iMac’s big screen? I don’t think so. Very, very spartan application… Well, at least you can synchronize reading progress between devices, how about that...

The app doesnt support audiobooks like ios application do : (

1. Please, allow users to make margins of the book insensitive to any touchings, so that it would be more comfortable to hold the iPad mini. 2. After closing a book from a collection, I would like to see the list of books from this collection and not a list of collections as it happens now.

Books delivering not working, syncronisation not working.

Kindle at MacUpdate reached version 1.10.5. The App Store (at least, the Italian version) is still listing 1.10.3

Downloaded this some time ago and had been working fine. Suddenly today it is not working had to delete ane redownload and it is still not working :(

I use the Kindle reading app on my iPhone and my iPad seamlessly. My pages are always synced up (sometimes maybe one or two off, but cloes enough that it doesn’t bother me at all). With the desktop app though, it does not sync pages, and my collections are missing. I had hoped to use the desktop app to “clean up” my collections for my devices, but since they don’t sync, what’s the point? The Kindle app is great to read on, and I would still recommend it to people, but this needs to be fixed.
